Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

The final resting place of Vietnam's founding father, set in historic Ba Dinh Square where independence was declared in 1945.

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is the final resting place of Vietnam's beloved revolutionary leader. The imposing granite structure in Ba Dinh Square is where Ho Chi Minh declared independence in 1945. Despite his wish for cremation, his preserved body lies in state.

The surrounding complex includes the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's stilt house, the One Pillar Pagoda, and a museum. The changing of the guard ceremony is a solemn and impressive sight.
